Dr. Lopez's research interests are in structural and thermodynamic characterization of protein-ligand interactions, protein stability and oligomerization state of macromolecules using a variety of biophysical methods including isothermal titration calorimetry, differential scanning calorimetry, circular dichroism and fluorescence spectroscopies, analytical ultracentrifugation and small angle X-ray scattering. Understanding the mechanisms of these interactions are crutial for many biological processes. |
