AIMBE recognized Rensselaer for one of its efforts to mitigate the effects of COVID-19. The project, a unique system for using UVC light to sterilize masks in bulk, was a collaboration between CBIS, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS), and the Center for Lighting Enabled Systems & Applications (LESA) at Rensselaer.
