Integrated Systems Biology Constellation

Systems biology is the coordinated study of biological systems, at the cellular, organ, or whole-body level, which aims at achieving a systems-level understanding of biological processes. Systems biology lies at the interface of engineering, computer science, and molecular/cell biology and involves sophisticated computational and high-throughput experimental approaches.

The Integrated Systems Biology Constellation at Rensselaer will build on CBIS’ current strength in Microbiomics and Bacterial Communities in the context of human health and built environment in conjunction with Rensselaer Institute of Data Exploration and Application (IDEA).

For additional information on endowment opportunities related to this constellation and available positions and resources, contact Professor Deepak Vashishth, director CBIS, c/o biotech-info@rpi.edu, 518-276-4259.
