Systems biology is the coordinated study of biological systems, at the cellular, organ, or whole-body level, which aims at achieving a systems-level understanding of biological processes. Systems biology lies at the interface of engineering, computer science, and molecular/cell biology and involves sophisticated computational and high-throughput experimental approaches.
The Integrated Systems Biology Constellation at Rensselaer will build off CBIS’ current strength in Microbiomics, Bacterial Communities, Circadian Biology, and Data Science in the context of human health in conjunction with Rensselaer's Future of Computing Institute (FOCI).
For additional information on endowment opportunities related to this constellation and available positions and resources, contact Professor Juergen Hahn, director CBIS (hahnj@rpi.edu).
