Mount Sinai Health Hackathon

RPI students have participated every year in the Mount Sinai Health Hackathon, a two-day transdisciplinary competition focused on creating novel technology solutions for healthcare challenges.

The 4th Annual Hackathon, which took place in October 2019, focused on the theme “Artificial Intelligence: Expanding the Limits of Human Performance.” Following the competition, an RPI team was chosen as one of two wildcard teams to share their technology solution at the Mount Sinai Innovation Showcase at Innovation Week. At this event, the Hackathon team presented a 5-minute pitch to a panel of experts, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs from the NYC innovation ecosystem.

Prior to the Showcase, all participating teams were mentored by Mount Sinai advisers to strengthen their presentations and learn the fundamentals of business development, customer validation and funding.
