The Cell and Molecular Biology Core Facility provides highly advanced molecular biology instruments to support experimental demands ranging from cell and tissue culture techniques to advanced cell transfection and genomics applications capabilities. The instruments include real-time PCR machines, imaging blots, gels and multi-well trays with fluorescence and bioluminescence capabilities. The Core Facility is also equipped with a tissue and cell culture facility for BSL-2+ research that includes CO2 incubators, refrigerators, environmental rooms, centrifuges, water baths, and inverted microscope for culture analysis.
